Master Sensei Dennis Janes

Sensei Janes began training in February of 1970 and earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in December of 1972. He along with Mark Galeski and John Bell were the first Karate Institute Black Belt instructors with AlGene Caraulia.In 1973, he was hired by Gene Wyka to teach and manage a martial art schools with the Chicago Judo and Karate Center. In 1976 the Karate Institute of America in Cleveland, Ohio hired Janes to manage and direct karate operations.  He became one of the four Regional Directors for the Karate Institute of America national organization in 1983 and was elected to the National Board of Directors in 1988. Sensei Janes resigned from the Karate Institute of America in December, 1992 to form the Kajukenpo Association.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

1974: Received a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kempo Goju from the Chicago Judo and Karate Centers. 1974 Instructor-Manager of the Year.
1989: 5th Degree Black Belt - Karate Institute of America
1997: The Karate Institute Kajukenpo Association Black Belts bestowed the rank of 7th Degree Black Belt to Sensei Janes.
2003: KIKA Black Belts bestowed the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt to Sensei Janes. The 2003 8th degree black belt was signed by Soke’s at the World Head of Family Soke Council in Orlando, Florida
