Sensei Mike Bann - Nidan

I’m a sophomore at Mentor High School.  I began my training at The Karate Institute in September of 2000 and have actively participated on the demonstration team for 6 years.  Through my training, I have developed self-confidence, discipline and perseverance. In 2003, I received the Spirit Award; in 2004, the Teen Contributor Award, Special Winning Attitude Award and the honor of Black Belt of the year.  When not on the mat, I enjoy skiing, and I’m a member of the Mentor High School Soccer and Track Team.  I would like to give special thanks to my parents Cheri and Michael for their love and support.  I would like to thank Senseis Dennis and Mercedes for their continuous support and encouragement, and all the other instructors, who have encouraged me to be the best I can be.
