Nicole Hopsecger - Shodan

My name is Nicole Hopsecger and I’m in the 8th grade at Memorial Middle School.  I have been training at the Karate Institute for 6 years, 4 of which I have participated on the Demonstration Team.  I am also part of Team KIXXX and Team Revolution.  My favorite aspect of karate is the creative and extreme part of it.  A highlight of my martial arts training this year was attending  the Bluegrass/AKA National Tournament in Louisville, KY.               

When I am not at karate I like to hang out with friends and occasionally go to gymnastics.  I would like  to thank Senseis Dennis and Mercedes for supporting and encouraging me throughout my training.  I would also like to thank Coach Dave for taking all the time and effort to teach me my outside kata, as well as helping me with the gymnastics.  Lastly, I would like to thank all of the other instructors, my friends, Team KIXXX, and my family for being there for me all this way.  I love you, Mom & Dad!
